				Incipient Stage Fire Control - 4 Hours
				This four-hour course can be customized to meet the company’s specific needs. Course outline reflects training that can be included. Specific areas can be concentrated on as required. It is ideal as a refresher.
				Course Outline: Classroom (1 Hour) Fire Behavior Fire Tetrahedron Definitions Types of Heat Energy Heat Transfer Oxygen Fuel Classifications of Fires Stages of Fire Development Fire Control Methods of Extinguishment Extinguishing Agents Portable Extinguishers Types of Fire Extinguishers Inspection of Fire Extinguishers Extinguishers Operation Use of Fire Hoses - hose line characteristics, nozzles, general guidelines Personal Protection Equipment Standard Issue PPE Bunker/Turner Gear Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus Practical Exercises (3 Hours): (Time may vary according to number of students) Fire Evolutions Pan/spill fire - extinguish with portable fire extinguisher Engine fire - 2 person team extinguishes with portable fire extinguishers Flange Fire (Propane/Liquid fuel) - extinguish with portable fire extinguisher, simulate valve closure Hose handling procedures, nozzle operation Wellhead fire - use of hoseline(s) to protect exposures Emergency Refilling fire extinguishers in the field Use of Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus Smoke maze and/or compartment search Scheduled Dates: Held on demand. There must be a 10-person minimum to hold course Tuition: $150
