Basic Training Refresher - USCG/STCW '10

This two-day course is comprised of the four USCG Basic Training elements. This course will provide a means for a mariner to refresh their Basic Training endorsement.

It is designed for mariners that have met the requirements for initial competency in Basic Training and are not actively serving on seagoing ships. If a mariner cannot provide evidence of 360 days of seagoing service within the past five years they would be required to complete a USCG-approved refresher program.

Upon completion the certificate is valid for five years.

This course would include assessments of all Basic Training components:

• Personal Survival Techniques as set out in Table A-VI/1-1 of the STCW Code and NVIC 08-14:
• Fire Prevention and Firefighting as set out in Table A-VI/1-2 of the STCW Code and NVIC 08-14:
• Elementary First Aid as set out in Table A-VI/1-3 of the STCW Code and NVIC 08-14
• Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities as set out in Table A-VI/1-4 of the STCW Code and NVIC 08-14:

Course is held 2 -3 times monthly. Call for dates.
