Proficiency in Fast Rescue Boat Refresher - USCG/STCW ‘10

To renew a Proficiency in Fast Rescue Boat endorsement, mariners must provide evidence of maintaining the standard of competence as set out in 46 CFR 12.617 and Table A-VI/2-2 of the STCW Code every 5 years. This two-day course will provide a means for a mariner to refresh their Proficiency in Fast Rescue Boat endorsement.

It is designed for mariners that have met the requirements for initial competency in Proficiency in Fast Rescue Boat and are not actively serving on seagoing ships. If a mariner cannot provide evidence of 360 days of seagoing service within the past five years they would be required to complete a USCG Fast Rescue Boat refresher program.

This course will satisfy the requirements for 46 CFR 12.617(b)(4) and STCW Table A-V1/2-2 and the competency demonstration requirements of 46 CFR 12.617(b)(2) and STCW Table A-V1/2-2 for an STCW endorsement for Proficiency in Fast Rescue Boats.

Upon completion, the certificate is valid for five years.
