Basic Training - USCG/STCW ‘10

The U.S. Coast Guard Basic Training 40-hour program is required by seafarers employed or engaged in any capacity on board ship, on the business of that ship as part of the ship’s complement with designated safety or pollution prevention duties in the operation of the ship, before being assigned to any shipboard duties.

This five-day course is comprised of four USCG/STCW approved courses. Upon completion, the certificate is valid for five years.

  • USCG/STCW Personal Survival Techniques – 12 hours
  • USCG/STCW Personal Safety & Social Responsibilities – 4 hours
  • USCG/STCW Basic Firefighting – 16 hours
  • USCG/STCW Elementary First Aid – 8 hours

Course is held 2-3 times monthly. Call for dates.
